We are looking to fill the following position as soon as possible

Patent Law Reporter / Editor (Freelance, Europe)

What we offer

  • A small team of independent journalists who genuinely enjoy working together
  • Regular travel to cities such as London, Paris, Amsterdam and Munich
  • A newsroom that combines traditional reporting with modern technology and AI-supported workflows
  • We are looking for a long-term addition to our editorial team and currently envisage the collaboration on a freelance basis.

What you’ll do

  • Research and write news, analysis and in-depth features for our website, newsletters and LinkedIn presence
  • Help shape and edit JUVE Patent’s editorial coverage
  • Build lasting relationships with key players across the European patent market and contribute to JUVE Patent’s events

What we’re looking for

  • Excellent English writing and communication skills
  • Strong journalistic instincts, research skills and sound news judgment
  • Confidence in approaching people and building relationships
  • Interest in technology, business and legal topics
  • Based in Europe and willing to travel regularly

Most importantly, we’re looking for a great journalist. Patent expertise is welcome but not required. We can teach you the market. Curiosity, persistence and the ability to get a story right are harder to find.
